Scenery - Walls

Fantasy Terrain: Walls

I always have some little bit of terrain to finish off sitting on the painting table, with these walls I thought id try and get ten ready for some Warhammer Fantasy this summer, they would also be useful for the planned Mordheim Campaign we were hoping to get into in 2016.

Subtle hues of different shades create the effect.

I first gave everything a coat of black primer (out of a tub as this came with static grass already applied so I couldn't use sprays), then I highlighted and dry brushed up to a light grey. I then used an ink to add a general shade to the wall. I think this gives the stone a subtle variation but allows for quick painting.

Other effects such as the rust effect and clump foliage I have used previously are also used here, I do this so that I get the unified table effect I'm going for.

I picked out some of the stonework in subtle shades then gave the whole lot a final highlight of the same light grey.

Finally I applied some clump foliage and spots of different static grass.
