  Warhammer Fantasy Tomb Kings - Necrolith Colossus  I was always on the lookout for a model to represent the Necrolith Colossus in my Tomb Kings army. When the Hobbit spotted a 3D printed model on eBay and ran out of his hole shouting and squealing that it may be a good proxy, I thought I better take a look, if only to stop the neighbours complaining... There is a big temptation for getting my Tomb King army match fit for the release of The Old World. ( Assuming that the unit roster and base sizes will be similar to 8th edition ). When I saw the photo of it, I immediately recognised that it was, in fact, a great model to represent a Necrolith Colossus armed with a Bow of the Desert. Patting the little guy on the head, I couldn't really tell if the quality of print was good but decided to take a chance and ordered it. Gaming - ZoomHammer Trials - Playing Warhammer in Lockdown Orders noted Sir. Advance on me men!    Recently, we've been trying out playing some Warhammer Fantasy Battles during the lock-down by using Zoom. We've imaginatively labelled this Zoomhammer and are playing 2000 point, winner stays on battle-line games. I've set up my games table and use my phone for a 'live' camera feed. (I use a couple of elastic bands to secure it to an adjustable lamp on my painting desk, but I may invest in a better / dedicated camera and stand in the future). Zoom also allows those not playing to join as spectators - hey, you never know, they might well have run out of boxed sets to watch! Review - Tabletop Hobbit's Hobby Set Up   Hello and welcome! I’m The Table Top Hobbit.   Warhammer Fantasy Tomb Kings - Tomb King in a Chariot When the Tomb King goes to war he likes to travel in style. Build The bulk of the model is a basic chariot that has a couple of easily modeled conversions. The blade on the front has been replaced with the blade from a Sepulchral Stalker and a cobra emblem front the Necrosphinx/Warsphinx box set added to the top of the yoke. The Tomb King also comes from the Warsphinx box. This model is set in a pose where his right leg is at angle as if he is stepping up. If you are using him in the Warsphinx or on foot then this is no problem as there are parts on the sprue that accommodate this. I simply had him rest his foot on a skull. It's not usually visible but it was an easy fix and nicely in theme for a Tomb King! When I want to get painting something quickly - I go to my Tomb Kings! P aint Spray brown undercoat the entire model....and apply a thin layer of black to all metal parts. I used Mournfang Bro...

Painting Process: First off the model has been sprayed with GW's citadel black spray. 2 thin coats of mephiston red using water to thin your paints where applied. This will give you a nice smooth coat of paint as Duncan the paint master states. I’ve then used Agrax "cheat" shade on the the recesses of the model to make it stand out. Once dry I tidy up any out of control Agrax with Mephiston red Again before applying an edge highlight of Evilsunz Scarlet on all the edges. ...
