Druchii Dark Riders: The Skullriders of Spite Reach


Looking at expanding out the Druchii legions, I Wanted these guys to look 'scary' and different from the standard (but great) Dark Rider Kit. I felt the normal kit didn't lend itself for any major modifications.

So; Into the Druchii bitz-box for a solution....skulls! Executioner heads. Skull shield emblems from the old infantry crossbow/ spearmen kit and a Tomb King skull for the banner pole!





I am very happy with how this kitbash turned out. I painted them up in the same black and purples as usual, but they add an extra element to any cavalry detachment that leaves Hag-Aberdeen.

  Warhammer Fantasy Tomb Kings - Necrolith Colossus  I was always on the lookout for a model to represent the Necrolith Colossus in my Tomb Kings army. When the Hobbit spotted a 3D printed model on eBay and ran out of his hole shouting and squealing that it may be a good proxy, I thought I better take a look, if only to stop the neighbours complaining... There is a big temptation for getting my Tomb King army match fit for the release of The Old World. ( Assuming that the unit roster and base sizes will be similar to 8th edition ). When I saw the photo of it, I immediately recognised that it was, in fact, a great model to represent a Necrolith Colossus armed with a Bow of the Desert. Patting the little guy on the head, I couldn't really tell if the quality of print was good but decided to take a chance and ordered it. This will not only increase the unit count but enable me to field an army at a higher points level. Their addition will also give me some variety in unit type, in regards a bit of range, as most of the army is melee based. HEY YOU !
