Star Wars RPG - Episode I The Imperial Ship Crew

With the recent release in the UK of Disney+ and hence the fantastic Mandalorian series, which essentially depicts a game of Star Wars Edge of the Empire. I got the RPG books out again for a quick flick through, Trying to profile the main characters in the franchise.
I have been toying with the idea of a Edge of the Empire or Age of Rebellion game for sometime. I had thought the best way to start out was to play a one off in order to understand if it’s something to pursue further, but given the current situation of Covid 19 it looks increasingly likely that we will have to play this via Zoom, Skype or Roll 20. I will continue adding minis to the universe anyway, supplementing my minis for the Fantasy Flight board game Imperial Assault. Which I intend to become a series of blog posts in itself.
Some last highlights of bases and uniforms.
I used the same basic basing material I use for my Imperial Assault Miniatures, a drybrush of Karak Stone and Screaming Skull on Armegeddon Dunes, and a tuft of the Citadel Middenland Tufts.
Remember you can pick up these lovely and characterful minis from Heresy Minis at the link below. I think they fit in with the Imperial Assault minis as well, or maybe you are playing Star Wars Legion, they are more 25mm or 28 (non Heroic) rather than a traditional 28mm heroic Games Workshop miniature, or 32mm for scale and detail levels.

So to the Premise...
LINK - ROLL FILM This is a little title sequence I put together to get the project underway.
The idea of the "adventure" series is that the characters will be brought together to undertake a dangerous mission to steal something very very valuable from an Imperial Ship. I wanted therefore to have some Imperial ship crew personnel models to interact with, so searching around the internet revealed no perfect solution. I set off to investigate what I could find at Salute 2018, and there I came across the Heresey Miniatures Stand and the miniatures below.
Basecoats
Detailing
I wanted a clear light colour to finish off the skin highlights.
A Wash of Athonian Camoshade was applied sparingly to the crews uniforms to give some depth to them. It was watered down approximately 50%.
I picked out the hair and details such as the hat and hair on the crew. I used some of the new Contrast paints to do this as I wanted subtle results. I used Volupus Purple to create a streak in the female crewman's hair and to give the crewman's hat a bit of definition.
HOBBY TIP: You can get creative with the materials you use to "paint" your minis, here im using a pink Sharpie to add tone to the lips and hair for the female crew member.
I picked out the uniform badges and insignia in a contrasting grey.
A final tidy up of the different colours and we are done.
