Warhammer 40k - Welcome to Mars Chapter 4 Chapter 4: Skitarii Rangers Sniper Squad Welcome to Mars!! Having dived straight into the first minis for this new army, I thought it prudent to paint some Troop choices. So lets see what we have. Two boxes of Skitarii Rangers/Vanguard, one from the Forgebane boxset and one from the big army starter box set. My plan for further squads will be to purchase another box of troops and build enough of the variants to be able to customise several squads but; The first to be enlisted will be a five “man” Ranger sniper squad.   This first squad will consist of two transuranic arquebus models, plus an Alpha equipped with a phosphor blast pistol and taser goad and two other Rangers with galvanic rifles, one of which would be equipped with a Omnispex will form my first squad. Warhammer 40K - Welcome to Mars Chapter 3 Onager Dunecrawler Welcome to Mars! With my regular foes being Necrons, Imperial Guard and Sisters of Battle, the added fire power of the Dunecrawler is very appealing. Chapter 3: Onegar Dunecrawlers    So firstly let’s review the contents of my Adeptus Mechanicus force so far. The Forgebane boxed set gave me: 1 x Tech-Priest Domiunus (assembled) 10 x Skitarii Rangers/Vanguard 2 x Armiger Warglaives (both now assembled and painted see Chapter 1 )  I then purchased the Adeptus Mechanicus Codex saw the Knights which determined the next purchase, the Renegade boxed set, which gave me: 2 x Knights (now assembled and painted see Chapter 2 )  At this point it dawned on me that when I build up the second Knight and add in the Armigers, I'll also have enough models to field a force of Imperial Knights. Review - Tabletop Hobbit's Hobby Set Up   Hello and welcome! I’m The Table Top Hobbit. Along with my friends The Fat Dwarf and Gildoren the Elf we have created this blog to record our painting journey and hopefully, to share tips on painting to a good table top standard and indeed to show off our various creations.  Now, I’ve been collecting Warhammer Fantasy since 1995, we here at the Tabletop Hobby Blog are still all very much Warhammer Fantasy enthusiasts, and this still remains our primary focus. However, I’ve painted a wide range of models in my time from Warhammer Fantasy and Middle Earth to 40k and Necromunda.   Being quite a lazy painter in terms of losing inspiration or getting bored quickly, mostly due to giving myself to much to do and being OCD when building models. I have looked into some commission painter’s work but have always been disappointed with the results. I’m not a fan of the airbrushed/rushed finish and the price is usually expensive for the result
