The minis were often designed to be pewter or “white metal” and due to the limitations of the soft resin are often warped or the surface sometimes has small imperfections. When I bought Throgg, I was a bit concerned that these defects would cause me some problems but thankfully as this model was towards the end of the finecast period where quality control had improved, the quality of this Throgg was pretty good.     HOBBY TIP: Heat can be used to straighten out warped parts of resin models. I try and stick to the thought that the first units I want to paint are ones which I think I'd pick most to be in my army list. Having said that, it's sometimes a good idea to get going by painting something merely for the reason of liking the model or just for a change.
